This task is a practical based report on enzymes and temperature, which is part of the Biology assessment for Year 11 students studying Triple Science.
Initially lessons focused on interpreting data provided by the OCR exam board. Students then planned and carried out practical experiments to collect data on how enzyme activity is affected by change in temperature. Students then interpreted the practical results obtained and explained the trends using scientific concepts as well as identifying any errors. Students also had to think about further planning to extend their investigation, and what would be required if an experiment was to be carried out to see the effect of varying pH. This podcast focuses on the analysis of results carried out by students and the discussions around the validity and errors.
